Why House - Sri Lanka, is a stunning, family orientated 10 room boutique hotel that sits within a beautifully landscaped three acre walled garden of tropical plants, fruit and spice trees. Two hours door to door from the Bandaranaike International airport, here you can experience luxury with informality - a home away from home where no request is too small.

A short walk or tuk tuk ride will take you to the spectacular Dalawella Beach, a beautiful lagoon created by a protective reef, safe swimming throughout the year and frequented by sea turtles. And we are 15 minutes from the extraordinary UNESCO world heritage site of Galle Fort. 

Our team of friendly staff will give you the best service possible, overseen by Henrietta who welcomes guests as long lost friends. The hotel pets are also more than obliging to keep children entertained. 

Our rates start from $355 per night for a double room including breakfast and $395 for our suites based on two people sharing. Supplements apply to peak periods and additional adults or young adults. Children are 12 and under. These rates are inclusive of all government taxes and service charges.

These two rooms are nestled away in the garden with views overlooking the rice paddy fields and out to the pool. Perfect for couples, solo traveller or small family.

We have three rooms in the Garden House, two of which can be interconnecting, and the third has a mezzanine floor. Perfect for groups or large families.

Garden Bungalow

Two rooms in the Garden Bungalow with the option of interconnecting, perfect for families.

Main House

We have two suites in the main house which has a large split king bed with an ante room which can accommodate two extra single beds, perfect if you want to be close to but not share a bedroom with your children.
